wichita falls texas

The name Wichita is derived from the Choctaw word "wia chitoh" meaning "big arbor," a description of their large grass-thatched arbors and beehive-shaped houses. During the late 1700's, Comanches and Apaches also lived in the area. All three tribes remained in the area until the 1830's. The city gained its name from a Wichita Indian encampment near a small waterfall along the Wichita River.

Veterinary Clinic

Services limited to small animal care, vaccinations, heartworm testing, minor skin/ear care and pets requiring health certificates for upcoming PCS. We carry a wide variety of heartworm, and flea and tick medication. Call to see if a visit is required for certain medications. Those eligible to use our services include active duty, retirees, and guard personnel on orders. Generally, if you are entitled to use the base clinic, you can use the vet clinic.
