The Youth Center strives to meet this goal by providing a variety of activities
including team sports, health and fitness programs,
instructional classes, and special trips. For working
parents, we offer year round recreational child care
through our School Age Program, Holiday Camps, and
Summer Day Camp
We offer numerous recreational activities. The game
room is equipped with video games, board games,
billiards and air hockey. We try to offer something for
everyone! If you enjoy physical activities, play basketball
or volleyball in the gym! If you’re thirsty or hungry, stop by
the snack bar for drinks and light refreshments. Don’t
forget to check out our computer area, too! For our teens,
we offer a room just for them. It is equipped with a big
screen TV, stereo system, and comfortable
furniture.
The Youth Program Staff is eager to meet and work with
all our young people and their parents. The Youth
Programs at Sheppard AFB gets better as more people
get involved and volunteer in our program. We are always
recruiting volunteers for coaching, and as chaperones for
dances and trips. We want our program to have family
appeal. We encourage each parent to get involved in their
children's leisure time activities. It will be a very positive
and rewarding experience for the entire family!
