Remote Control Enthusiasts
Every Monday from 6 - 8 pm
Looking for a place to fly your remote control plane or helicopter. Need some place to race your remote control car. Come to the Community Center on Monday evenings from 6-8 pm. Only battery powered vehicles are permitted. There is no charge for this activity - simply show up and have fun. For more information, call 676-1341.

Freedom Fest Car Show

If you want to enter a vehicle or bike in the show the cost is $15 by July 2 or $20 on day of event (cash only on day of event). Call the Community Center to sign up.

Iron Chef GRILL-OFF
Saturday, July 17 • 2pm
Teams of 3-5 will compete. Free event.
All teams grill at the same time. Teams must provide their own grill (charcoal or gas) and grilling utensils. Community Center will supply the same ingredients to all teams on the day of the event. Must register in advance no later than July 9. Upon registration, teams will receive a list of all ingredients that will be provided. Teams must create a recipe/meal using only the ingredients provided PLUS three secret ingredients that they choose and provide. Each team must prepare an entree and two sides. Overall winning team will receive a brand new Outdoor BBQ Grill!

10th Annual Build-a-Boat Race & BBQ
Saturday, July 31 • 8 am
Get your teams (3 to 5 persons) together now. FREE event. Community Center will supply cardboard and duct tape to all registered teams on day of event. Teams must register in advance no later than July 23. Teams must be in place and ready to build by 8 am in the Community Center Ballroom. Teams are encouraged to establish a theme and use customes as one of the judging criteria will be based upon Team Enthusiasm and theme. Teams will have 90 minutes to construct a sailing vessel from materials provided. Teams may bring magic markers to color portions of their vessel (no paint). Racing will begin at 10 am. Awards will be presented at 11:30 am. An Appreciate BBQ is also scheduled. The event is free to enter. BBQ is all you can eat and is free for AiTs/$4.25 for all others. Prize categories are: "BARRACUDA", "JEWEL OF THE POOL", "CHIPPER CLIPPER", "ROCK", "UGLY DUCKLING", "MASTER & COMMANDER".
