Airman and Family Readiness Center presents Christine Durst. Ms. Durst is internationally respected work-at-home job expert and internet fraud watchdog (CNN, on-air fraud expert), best-selling author, and proud Air Force mom to Sheppard AFB.
This 1-day, 6-hour program is ideal for:
- Military spouses
- Transitioning personnel
- Retirees
- Eligible family members
- DoD civilian personnel
- Career development professionals/employment advisors and anyone who would like to focus on how and where to find legitimate home-based work opportunities.

TAP (Transition Assistance Program) Workshops
Are you getting close to retiring or separating? If so, you will want to sign up for a TAP Workshop at your Airman & Family Readiness Center. The TAP Workshop is a partnership between the Department of Labor, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Defense. The primary purpose of the TAP Workshop is to prepare you to start a second career in the civilian/corporate world by giving you information and hands on practice at doing job searches, resumes and job interviews. You will receive all the information you need about VA benefits and how to file your VA claim, and then we throw in some added extras such as Federal Employment, Small Business Development Center, Education Benefits, Tricare, and more! This 4-day workshop will be one of the best things you ever did for yourself before leaving the military. Retirees should start planning to attend 2 years out, and separatees should plan for 1 year out. Workshop dates are: 19-22 Apr; 17-20 May; 21-24 Jun; 19-22 Jul; 16-19 Aug; 20-23 Sep; 18-21 Oct and 15-18. Call 676-4358 to reserve a seat.
